Great Story.. i didn't really like detention 9.. but 10 is one i gotta love, interested to see 11.
I really like the way you build up to Mr Wilson and Brandon... while having all this emotion put into Brandon and Chris, just a really good story introducing B's mother too... great story keep up the good work :D

“If you knew him the way I do, then you wouldn’t ask me that question.” Is there a better way to put it? The love-hate relationship finally turned into such a strong expression of love, just before all the forewarnings became a reality!!! Chris was known to have had "shorter" relationships than two weeks, wasn't he? Wow!
And yet, "I don’t think people really give you credit for the great person you are" holds a lot of promise, while "I don’t think you give yourself credit for the great person you are" is a pardone granting explaination for the twist Chris' character brings in this chapter. Brandon's role as "Dr. Freud"... Wow! That whole excerpt is perhaps the heart of this series...
Appropriateness is very visible - Chris calling his B, "Brandon"... How well-fitting! In the beginning and in the end as well, the character of mother is portrayed as if a newly defined synnonym of appropriateness. Wow! - Again and again.
Mike, only you could bring about the reflection of contrasting human emotions into self determination taken over by the first human emotion expressed by us all... Tears! I felt goosebumps at its peak when I got struck by the powerful expression in yet another great line ending the chapter...
Check this out, everyone... Brandon commits to himself earier in the chapter: I wasn’t going to cry "ever". ...and, the chapter ends: Finally the tears came, and I thought they would "never" stop.
Does Mike know how to write or Does he know how to write!!! :)

I suppose all good things must come to an end. Having followed this serious and enjoyed every story, though I'll have to admit, more so after it started revolving around Chrsi and Brandon, (didn't much like the doing the friends thing), I personally feel there shouldn't be an 11. No doubt I would enjoy it just as much, but I think this is a good way of ending this series. Like Chris say's "there's nothin like forever". Great writing and look forward to your future stories.

That’s the most romanting,hot and breathtaking story I’ve ever read in this site!I’m one of those (and I believe that they are quite many) who kept looking every day for the installment of this story.I don’t know how many times I’ve read it;each time though it had the same effect on me: making me feel “emotional and shit” as Chris would say.I’m afraid I expected things between Chris and Brandon to go that way;I don’t want though the story to end now,like this!As all the real great love-stories there was an end,which was dipressing;I’m not compromised with it,nor I accept it!Please I beg you to continue the story,to be a “Detention 11”!You can realize that most of your readers want you to hear their plea and tell them what happens next!You’ve put us in the process to imagine all the possible senarios of their reconciliation and reunion!Perhaps seening Chris the brokenhearted Brandon comforted and attracted by a hot ,stud and goodlooking guy (Scott,Jason,Bill,Luke or even a new blond muscular dude) get him so jealous and make him understand that he’s about to lose the only person he’s crazy in love with,but doesn’t have the balls to admit it!It worked one time with Jason,why not another?But then again,will Brandon forgive him easily and trust him again?Or he finds true love in another’s boy’s arms?You see the effect of this story!You are the writer though (a pretty gifted and tallented one),you know how to keep the story on!But you must keep it on!Many congratulations for your splendid work!Hope to see soon new episodes of Detention and Secrets.

I've been reading Detention since 1, and it is without a doubt the best series on this site.
The friction between Barndon and Chris is great - I love how you keep finding new ways to make it work.
But one of the main attractions was Brandon doing stuff with mean str8 guys and I think since this break-up it is the perfect time for Brandon to do some more stuff. I'd love to see Brandon and Scott, or Brandon and Jason.
But of course, the biggest congrats on making a great modern romance between Chris and Brandon.

Mike you promised us that you’ll keep on with the story till either people got annoyed or bored,either there's nothing left to tell about Chris and Brandon.It’s clear that no such thing happened;we’re dying to know what comes next between those two.
The story is fascinating with a quite simple concept:a dislike/hate relatioship between two complete different guys which turns to love;at least for Brandon.Pure Physics:the opposites are attached and gravitated to!Chris though was right: Brandon has more in common with Jason,than him,especially the fact that both B&J keep liking people who don’t like them back and they’re getting tired of this.I’m certain that now for sure Brandon can understand how Jason felt.He’s the only person that can comfort him;i don’t know though whether he’ll want to.
Yet Brandon and Chris despite their differences have one major resemblance:the lack of self-respect and self-esteem.Their affair helped Brandon get through this,but not Chris.And for the major question:Does Chris loves Brandon?I think for the first time Chris has true deep feelings for a person,which scares him a lot.He’s intimidated to love and be loved;he feels he’s so “fucked up” he doesn’t deserve to be loved and especially from Brandon.So he breaks up with him.He knows though that Brandon loves him;he made him realise,admit and confess it.Only if he feels really threatened by another guy,which will try to get in B’s broken heart,will make him realise the hard way what is about to lose:the only person he really doesn’t hate and not only that.It worked one time with Jason,why not another?Whether B will be willing to hear him,to believe and trust him again,to forgive and forget,to give Chris a third chance is another story,your story!
You see we give you ideas for at least another 10 to 20 episodes of Detention.Don’t fail us;keep up the good work and give them to us.

YOu know, I think the thing that attracts most people, to the story is the relationship between chris and brandon. If you take that away, then it is not the same, and I think that will make the story lack it's "essence". The break up added alittle friction and spice, which every story needs, but please don't keep it like that. YOu are doing such a great job, keep on going. I am not tired of this series yet, and I can't wait to see what happens.

Wow, I can't believe so many people posted on this thing. Very nice. It's good to know that the efforts I put into these stories is appreciated. It's nice to know that people like the characters and have such grat connections to them. I never expected to make a sequel out of this story, let alone right ten of them and people continue to like them. This series is one of the first set of stories where everything flows so easily and I know what happens in each part. Part 11 will be pretty different from the others and in terms of character, especially Brandon's character. As of right now, I plan to end the series at 12. I think after a while there's so much you could tell about the same characters. And it's good to keep people wanting more instead of being like "Okay, it should've been over long time ago." I also want to venture off into other storylines which I hope people will embrace, but thanks to all the people who supported this story.

hey mr booker, it is your story, but when I heard that you plan to end the story @ 12, my heart fell. I love reading, to me this is no longer about the sex, I just love the characters, I am thinking about printing out this whole series....... maybe you will change your mind??? :)

You are so good with the human psychology;I don’t know whether you took some courses in the university or not.Either way you manipulate it so effectivelly in your story!This brakeup couldn’t leave Brandon invulnerable and unaffected;I’m curious to see how he turns out.Possibly mean and hurtful,vengeful and vindictive to Chris or maybe not.In a few days,hope not too many,we’ll find out.I really enjoyed as well the way you manipulated the detention B had with Mr. Wilson.Great concept;you left us imagining what happened,without getting away from the main subject:the perspective of the oncoming breakup between Brandon and Chris.Excellent work!
Thank you again for this great story!I keep reading and reading it,I don’t remember how many times.Yet every time seems like the first time,I enjoy it like the first,and every time I keep discovering new things that got past my previous readings.This is the reason I plead you to continue with the story the farest you can get it.
By the way even though we are attached in Detention there are two more stories that I’anxious to find out their installment:Secrets and Roomates.I’m quite certain that they could be as succesful as Detention.You’ve started very good with both,can’t wait for their new episodes.

Okay, I understand your feelings about the series, Michael - but wouldn't, say, Detention 15 be better? it would give you/Brandon more time to explore the break-up. I think that's needed, to make Chris & Brandon's relationship better highlighted.
But I've enjoyed your work so much that it's not the end of the world if you do end it at 12 - at least I've got what we have had so far. But please think about extending it.

Your series has been really great so far, so why end it? I've heard the excuse of going out on top while the quality is still good, but why not let the audience decide when that happens. lol just a suggestion...that could end up being never. I just have to ask, were you a Buffy fan?

Please keep this story going! When I read Detention 9, I was salivating, waiting for the next one. When I read 10, I cried over their break-up. I have to admit, I'd like to see them back together and I'd like to see Chris admit to Brandon that he loves him back. I think he needs Brandon and Brandon's love to get through all the crap in his life.

I run into this story by accident, and was hopelessly hooked and deeply touched. The emotions that I've been hided and choked in my real life were overwhelmingly pulled and grinded as I read along. I'd really like Brandon and Chris get back together. There are so many possibilities, but please don't make the whole campus become like a sex camp, that'd destroy the tastes and realness of the characters. Thanks Mike for such a beautiful work! If you end this series there will be no point in me coming to this site anymore I completly and honestly live and breathe just so I can see what happens next. Ok not that bad but I am so enteined with this that you ending it will be like cutting off my own arm. I can't do and I don't think that you should end this either. I love the story the plot and line is great and it comes across so well to so many different people. I mean you have girls saying how much they are loving gay erotic fiction.
