Do No Harm: Chapter 1-3

(Part 1 from 1. Fiction.)

Subdivisions. I've seen a lot of them. Looking from space, it's that place between the bright lights and the far, unlit unknown. Where life seems to be perfect for everyone. But not me. I hate it here. Here, everyone has to be cool, or conform to everyone elses views on life, or whatever the case may be.

As I walk up to my new high school front door, I remember leaving my old one. I know im not going to fit in here, I have never fit in anywhere except for my old high school. My fathers job sometimes makes him move to a different region of the country, and it's hard because as soon as I make friends, I need to move away. We just moved here from Chicago, and before that, we lived in southern California.

I pull the handle on the glass door and step in. There are hundreds of kids walking all over the place. I struggle just to get to my new locker. I put in the combination given to me by the school and opened the door. I put my backpack in and took out my binder. I closed the metal door with a clang and looked at my schedule. I walk in to a big room, maybe 30 kids in it and find an empty seat.

I sit down on the chair and slightly slouch down, trying to get comfortable. I sat in the back, so I can see where everyone is. I notice a girl, about my age who was looking at me. I make eye contact with her and she kinda blushed. She smiled and I tried to grin but I was just too nervous to. She turned around and looked ahead for a few minutes and stood up.

She walked over to my desk and sat down in the desk next to me. "hey. I'm janice." she said. "hi..." I said shyly. "your new here right?" she asked. "yeah, I just moved here. I'm Aiden." I said. I felt her put her hand on mine and I look over at her. "don't worry, everyone here is really great. Your really cute, you should have no problem making new friends." she said. "you just met me. How can you think I'm cute?" I said. She laughed a little. I notice a tall, handsome kid walk in.

He had blue eyes and short brown hair, he had a smile that could melt your heart, and he must have played football because he was built like a freight train. He had flawless skin; not a pimple on his beautiful face. I knew right then that I had seen an angel. My eyes follow him as he sits down a few rows ahead of me. "that's Tyler Morrison, the hottest kid on the football team. He's the quarterback." Janice said. It snapped me out of my trance. "oh... Sorry Janice, I... I was.... Spacing the.....gravel...." I said not knowing what the hell I was talking about. I was too fixated on Tyler.

He seemed familiar, but I can't remember where I've seen him before. "I see what's going on here." she said. The teacher came in. It was a stalky, short guy with a balding spot on his head. "alright class. I want you all to give an astounding welcome to Aiden Stone." he said sarcastically. Everyone giggled at his joke. "Aiden, would you please?" he said gesturing me to stand up . I stood up and everyone turned and looked at me. "hey." I said looking at Tyler who had a smile from ear to ear. "where are you from Aiden?" the teacher asked. "originally, San Diego." I said. "what do you mean originally?"

"well... My dads job makes us move a lot." I shyly answered. "he's hot." I hear someone whisper. "duh... He's from Cali." another person whispered. "quiet!" the teacher said. "well... It's nice to meet you Aiden. I'm Mr. Carson. Have a seat." he said. I sat back down and slouched just like before to get back into a more comfortable position for my 1 & 1/2 hour class. I look at Tyler and his face changes from happy to a kinda what the hell type of look.

It went on at a snails pace and it felt like it was 3 hours. When the bell finally rang, I sprung out of my chair and walked onwards, following the crowd of other students. I walked towards my locker when I bumped into someone. "oh... Sorry bro." I said. I feel him grab my arm and spin me around. It was Tyler. "you bump into me punk?" he said. "dude, I'm sorry." he grabbed me and literally lifted me off my feet.

He held me by my neck and I struggled to breathe. He brought his face close to me. "your not in California anymore, kid." Tyler said. I struggle to stay conscious, and I soon black out for a few seconds before he let me go. I fell down to the waxed floor and hit the ground. I look up to him in terror and he leaves. It's so weird because only a few minutes ago he seemed really nice.

I get up off of the floor, still looking in the direction that he walked in. "it's not his fault." I spin around and a hooded guy with a black sweatshirt, Carpenter jeans, and Vans skateboard flat-soled shoes. He had his left foot on the wall and his arms crossed. I could only see the guys mouth and he had a toothpick in it. "what do you mean?" I said. "listen Aiden. People like Tyler Morrison aren't safe. he likes you... In his other personality. One, he is Tyler Morrison, the "super hot" jock, and the other one is Zane Steelman, the thuggish, "I don't give a shit" kinda guy." he said. "who are you? How do you know my name?" I ask. He gives a crooked smile and starts to walk away. "be careful who you fall in love with. If you fall in love with him, you fall in love with Zane too." he said. He left and I was in a bigger state of confusion than before.

I walked down the hallway to gym class. I don't know why I did that to Aiden, but something unleashed that monster inside of me, and I don't want him to hurt Aiden. I want to be Aidens friend, after all, who knows what his other schools were like. I don't want to come off as a bad guy. Zane usually doesn't come out until 8:30, so something must have pissed him off. I walked into the big, hot gym and walked into the locker room.

I opened the creaky metal door and stepped inside. I walked around the corner and reached my locker. I took off my shirt and opened the locker door. I took out shirt and old gym shorts and put them on. "yo have you met that new kid Aiden?" someone asked. I turned around and grabbed him by the throat. I shoved him into the lockers; "don't talk about him!" I scream. "chill... Dude. I was gonna say.... That...... He's cool...." he said gasping for air. I soon relaxed and let him go.

He had a bruise on his neck and he grabbed his throat trying to soothe the pain I had left. I took a few steps back and turned to face my locker. I leaned on over it with my head resting on the bottom. I stand up straight and punch the locker next to it. I grab my clothes, change, and kick the locker room door open. I walk towards the doors that lead to the football field and leave. I walk to my car, and throw my stuff in the back seat. I turned on the ignition and pulled out of the parking lot and drove off.

*** Chapter 3: Questions

I hear tires scream in the distance, it scared me a little. "what was that?" I thought. I looked out the window and saw a car speed off. Someone must have pissed him off. After school got out, I grabbed my backpack and walked out the front door. I made it about halfway home when a car pulled up along side me. It was Tyler. "hey Aiden, you need a ride?" I look over and he has that beautiful smile on his face. I was too scared to acknowledge him because I was afraid of him.

He got out of his car and walked over to me. I was completely frozen still. "look, I'm sorry for what I did to you." he said. I didn't speak. All I did was look into his eyes. "this is so hard to tell anyone. I.... I have... Multiple personality disorder. I'm literally a different person after 8:30 at night, until 8:30 in the morning. Please.... What I did..... It isn't me..." he said hanging his head. "I dont know how hard that must be, and I'm sorry that you need to go through that." I replied.

I felt bad for him, having to live like that. "well... My house is a couple miles away. Are you sure I won't be a bother?" he smiled from ear to ear. "get in." he opened his door and climbed in. I climbed in the passenger seat and he drove me home. "so.... How long have you.... Um..."

"been cursed with this disease? About 6 years. After I..." he trailed off. "what happened?"

"JUST FORGET ABOUT IT OK?" he said angrily with a hint of embarrassment. "sorry Tyler." I Answered. I looked out the window at the passing trees, the parked cars, and the people on the street. "I was 12 and I was at a sleep away camp.... An older boy, around 4 years older than me.... Was a roommate of mine and I caught him jacking off. I asked him what he was doing... And he told me that it was natural. He got up and locked the door and... Touched me...." he started to choke up, and I watched in absolute sorrow. "he told me not to tell.... Then he made me... Do stuff to him." he said wiping tears from his face. He started screaming and pounding his hands on the steering wheel.

"Tyler?" I said trying to get a hold of him. "...Zane?" I add. He looked at me. "who the fuck are you!?" he said. "I'm Aiden, and I'm a friend of Tylers." I said. His face calmed a little. "he tells me he likes you." he said. "I like him too. I'm.... I'm gay... But don't tell him." I said. "he doesn't roll that way bro... But.... I kinda do..." he said putting his hand on my leg. What does this mean?
