Very well done. The building of self confidence is one of the biggest problems. I remember when I was a Scoutmaster for nearly 25 years (and no, I did not ever touch or otherwise play with any of my charges) I had this young chap come to my home at 2:00 a.m. all confused and scared stiff. When I finally calmed him down, I asked him what the problem was. He said that he had sex with another guy for the first time. And then the questions poured out like someone turning a pitcher of water. It was 3:00 a.m. by the time I got the whole story. I was tired and I wanted to go back to sleep. So I asked him two questions... (1) Did you enjoy the experience? His reply was "Yes". (2) Would you do it again? Answer, "I don't know." So I threw him a blanket pointed to the couch and said as I turned off the light on my way to bed, " If you do, then come and talk to me." He did and he did.
All this to say that many young people discovering their sexual preferences go through tremendous turmoil. You seem to have a grasp of this and it seems to me that few people could have such a grasp unles they were writing from a practical experience.
