The move from the last chapter to this was a little difficult to fathom. There seemed to be a lot missing - it would have made more sense to explore the family relationships of the four guys over a period of time in this chaper and then to move on to Marie's demise.
This is overall a stunning story - but unfortunately, this chapter didn't really do it for me! There were too many gaps and too much was left unsaid.

There is reason for the unspoken. Wait til you see where I take the guys next. I didn't want this last chapter being so heavy with depth. If I had posted 16 and the forth coming 17 together it would make more sense.
Marie lived on for one more chapter, but she needed to go so I could delve into some deep emotions. 16 was a segue chapter. And I wanted Marie's death to come sooner than later. There was nowhere I could go with her anymore. She'd done it all and hurt so many. It was time to send her to her watery grave. I wanted her death violent and sudden to explore more emotions in the story.

Another great chapter or should I say chapters as I read them both and have chosen to comment on both, as one, here. I would have liked to see Marie dissappear in 15 but so long as she's now history, I'm happy. Were this a movie, I'd say chapter 15 ended the first series and 16 begins a new one introducing Cory and hopefully now centering on Colby, Mitch, Nick, Cory and Drake. Maybe you could kill Cole off and not bring him back when Drake comes for the handfasting or whatever it's called. Could you maybe be thinking of bringing Cory and Drake together? I wonder but will have to wait and see, just please don't keep us waiting too long for 17.
