Posted by Rickyb It has been my experience that, sometimes, songwriters are given one song and that lovers are given one chance. I'm grateful that we had our chance - to love once is better than never to have loved. Carl left town, apparently his previous plan before acknowledging my love for him. It was a thoughtful gesture. An act of love. He was a free spirit, no doubt, but one who acted upon our most basic emotion. Love.
