A NEW DAWN

"Hey, how long have we slept?", Will asked, having awaken from what he thought had been a very long nap...

"I don't know", Paul replied, turning to his right side to look at his clock. "It's almost four o'clock..."

Will smiled, slowly stretching his well toned body, giving a sweet kiss to Paul's left cheek. Paul smiled in return...

"I love you guy. I don't want you to leave me. Ever!", Paul said to Will, looking straight into his lover's blue eyes.

"Oh, I'm not planning on leaving you... For best or worst, you're stock with me now... At least for the next few days, that is... since I'm on leave until next thueday, and unless you want to get rid of me, of course...", Will replied, with a grin on his face.

"Don't you dare think about leaving me, you silly. I'll chain you to the bedpost, if I need to..."

"Oooooo... I might like that, you know...", will answered, laughing out loud.

"Now I recognize the German in you, you creepy, silly ass..."

"Me? A poor angel, fallen from the sky... as pure as snow?"

"Hey! That's my line! Not yours...", Paul said, laughing his heart out.

"Oh, it's true, I'm the devil here, huh?", Will answered, not being able to control his laughters.

"Yeah, I told you so last night..."

"Yeah, but that's before you did what you did to me this morning...", Will added.

"Hell, like if you were not a very willing participant..."

"No. No. No. I was raped, that's what it was: A rape! I'm the innocent victim here...", Will answered.

At that, Paul jumped on Will and started tickling his beatiful lover. They were both laughing. Then they started kissing. They could feel their respective dick stiffening...

"Hey buddy... we've got to stop that, at least for now...", Will said, "I've got to report to Oberstleutnant Koch... to let him know I'm all right, you know. I must call him..."

"Yeah, you're right..."

"What day is it, today?" Will asked.

"Um... Sunday, the 16th..."

"Right. I'm gonna call him first, then I think I'll drive back the jeep to Hôtel Meurice, you know... I just don't think it's useful for me to keep it, and I don't want to get Herr Koch into troubles, because I kept it, although he said he would cover for me...".

"You're right. That's a good idea. I could follow you with my dad's car, and then bring you back here. The thank is full, so no problem with gas. At least for now... And beside, Hôtel Meurice is not that far away from here...", Paul replied.

"Good idea. But once at Hôtel Meurice, I don't want you to wait for me there... Too many soldiers there... We'll have to find another place where you can pick me up..."

"Easy. You bring back the jeep, and in the meantime, I'll keep driving nearby. When you're finished, just walk to where I'll show you, and I'll pick you up there. What do you think?"

"Perfect... I'll have to go and get my uniform in the jeep, though. But first, I'll call Herr Koch ro report to him, and tell him I'm gonna bring back the jeep..."

"Fine with me!", Paul replied.

Will called Oberstleutnant Koch, letting him know he was fine, telling him he would bring the jeep back within the next hour... Will gave him Paul's phone number, so he could reached at all time, while he was on leave. Will was glad Oberstleutnant Koch didn't ask questions as to where he was staying... But then, Will knew Herr Koch was not an intrusive guy. After his phone call, Will went back to Paul.

"Everything is fine. Now, I'll go get my uniform, and change..."

"Okay", Paul replided.

After a few minutes, Will was back and, in the meantime, Paul had dress.

"Didn't see anyone outside. All's quiet. Doesn't mean people are not watching behind their curtains, though. And I've mouved the jeep, so now it's park not too far from here..."

"You're getting a bit paranoïac with that, you know Will..."

"No, I'm just careful, that's all. And it's for your own security. You might think everybody is gone, but I don't believe that. Don't want you to be seen in public with a German officer in uniform..."

"You may be right. So now, hear my plan: You get dress, and then go get your jeep. I'll get my father's car, and then drive slowly up on Avenue Foch. You'll see me, since I'll be driving a big black Citroën... then follow me. When we get to Place de la Concorde, I'll show you where I want us to meet later, okay?", Paul explained. "Is that okay with you?".

"Lets do it... and Paul?"

"... What?"

"This time, don't forget your ID, please?", Will said, with a large smile on his face.

"Nah...".

Both of them started to chuckel. Will changed then left, and Paul went to the underground garage, where his dad's car was parked. He opened the doors, started the engine, drove out of the garage, then went back to close and lock the doors. Seconds later, he was slowly driving up on Avenue Foch, and a few seconds later, he saw Will, sitting into his jeep. He passed him and kept slowly driving up on the Avenue. After a while, Paul looked into the side-mirror, and saw that the jeep was following him at a good distance.

They reached the rond point de l'Étoile, in the middle of with stood the Arc de triomphe, circled it, and then drove down the Champs Élysées Avenue. There was not much traffic on the large Avenue, mainly German army trucks and jeeps... Paul saw that Will was closing on him, to make sure to everyone both car and jeep were together. That played well, and Paul's car wasn't stopped.

They eventually reached Place de la Concorde, where Paul made a sign to Will, indicating to him a statue. Paul looked at Will, and saw him nodding, meaning he had understood that would be their meeting place.

Then Will turned on rue de Rivoli, and went to Hôtel Meurice. Paul turned on rue Royale, and slowly kept driving, giving Will all the time he needed to bring back the jeep. After a long run, the went back to Place de la Concorde, where he saw Will waiting near the statue he had indicated to him. He Stopped, and Will quickly got into the car. They immediately left, turning on the Champs Élysées, on their way back to Paul's home.

"Everything's fine", Will said. Had time to hear some news, though. It seems things are going from bad to worst for the French army. They have been completely routed, and the Wehrmacht is now running through France, and there's nothing left to stop it. Unbelievable. I never thought I'd see that day..."

"Neither do I..."

"They said the French Government is in Bordeaux now..."

"... If so, we don't have to search for my father anymore: He's in Bordeaux for sure...", Paul stated.

"Why do you say that?"

While driving, Paul gave Will a glance, then said:

"He's a Minister in the French Cabinet. So if the Government is in Bordeaux, he's there too, no doubt."

"Oh shit... I didn't know that. Sorry Paul. Really... I mean..."

"Yes... But it's not you're fault, Will, you know..."

"Well at least, you know now where your family is...", Will replied.

"Yes.... Hey... do you see that big building right there, to your right?", Paul asked Will.

"Which one?"

"The white one, right there..."

"Yes... I see it now..."

"Well, that's where our offices are. I mean, our company's Head office..."

"What do you mean", Will asked.

"Well, my father is a member of the Cabinet, as I said... but he's also a businessman... We own a large building society, with real properties scattered all over Paris, as well as some in Switzerland and even some in New-York...", Paul answered.

"Now, that explains a lot...", Will said.

"What?"

"Well, you know... your house... where you live..."

Paul grinned, then added:

"You know, here, in Paris, it's not called a "house". It's called a "Hôtel particulier"...

"Yeah... I've heard about those... Now, I've seen one... I've even slept into one last night", Will replied, with a grin on his face, as he said that.

Since Paul had turned to drive down on Avenue Foch, Will suddenly ducked under dashboard, so no one could see him...

"... My uniform... you know...", he said.

Paul smiled. He drove past his home, then turned to a lane to his right. He slowly drove for a while, then stopped.

"Wait in the car", he said to Will.

Paul went to the underground garage, unlocked the doors, opened them, then came back to the car. He drove into the underground garage, stopped the engine, went back to close and lock the doors, and came back to the car.

"You can come out from your hiding-place, you gorgeous...", he said to Will, smiling.

At that, Will smiled and got out of the car. He could see now they were standing in a spacious garage, where two other cars were also parked.

"Where are we", Will asked.

"Under our Hôtel particulier", Paul replied. "Under our house..."

"Unbelievable", Will exclaimed.

"Yeah, isn't it? It's very useful. Follow me.", Paul said to Will.

Will followed Paul. They went up a back-staircase and found themself into a small service room. Paul opened a door, and Will realized they were back into the main kitchen where they had had breakfast earlier that day. Boussole, the cat, was there, looking very happy to see them again...

"You, little rat, don't tell me you're hungry again?, Paul asked the cat.

Miawows were heard all through the kitchen, and Paul smiled.

"Yeah... you're hungry... and I'm starving too. What about you, Will?"

"Hell, I'm starving."

"Lets get this little fellow here something to eat, then lets make a lunch... What do you think?"

"Fine with me", Will replied. "I'd like to change into something more comfortable, though...", he added, looking at his uniform.
