Rest of Our Lives : Part 1

(Part 1 from 1. Fiction.)

Connor stared down at his bed, half naked in the light of his room. How the hell was he supposed to do this? Which one was he supposed to choose?

He turned and stared at his alarm clock. The red LED lights read 5pm. Two more hours until the event that would change hiss life. His body shook from a tremor of nervousness.

He could do this!

He turned back to his bed and looked over the articles of clothing splayed across his bed: three ties, three shirts, and three pairs of dress slacks. All the clothing ranged in various colors from rich blue to midnight black. He stared a moment longer at the clothing before selecting a blue shirt, a pair of brown slacks, and a black tie.

He proceeded into his bathroom and arranged the clothing on the counter. He then slipped out of his boxers and stepped into the shower. Connor turned on the water on, waited until the water warmed up, and stepped underneath the spray. He proceeded with his shower routine: washing his brown hair, lathering up his lithe muscular body, and shaving his most intimate parts.

Once he was done, Connor slipped his hand around his semi-hard cock. The feel of his smooth, pulsating member excited Connor, and his cock sprang to full attention. A smile flitted across Connor’s lips as he reflected on the events of the previous night. Connor slowly stroked his cock as he thought of the love-making that he and his boyfriend Eric had indulged themselves with. Connor could still feel Eric’s touch exploring his body, hear their ragged breath as Connor had rode Eric’s cock, and smell the incense of their love-making.

Connor was pulled back into the present as he shot his load, spraying the shower wall. He tried to steady his breath as he waited for his orgasm to stop. Once it had, Connor stepped out of the shower, and he proceeded to dry and dress himself.

As Connor was styling his hair, a soft knock sounded from his bedroom door.

"Connor?" The soft voice of his mother filtered in.

"Yes?" Connor replied.

"The graduation ceremony starts in an hour. We need to be leaving soon. I have your cap and gown laid out on the couch."

Connor opened the door. "Good timing. Ready when you are."

*******

Eric fiddled with his cap, unable to contain his nervousness. Where the hell was he? His blue eyes scanned the sea of red gowns, searching for one face. Eric’s eyes rested on the gym’s entrance. A grin broke out upon his face. There he was!

Eric weaved through the crowd until he reached the entrance. He pulled Connor into his arms and planted a soft kiss on Connor’s lips. "I’ve missed you, love."

Connor blushed deeply. "Me too."

"Hey, you planning on riding with your mom to the party?"

Connor raised an eyebrow. "Yes, that was the plan. Why?"

Eric grinned, flashing a set of brillant white teeth. "Scrap that. Ride with me. My parents let me borrow the truck since mine is still in the shop. Besides, I have something to ask you."

Another questioning look from Connor. "What?"

Eric’s grin grew wider. "Not here. After the ceremony." Eric glanced over his shoulder. "Time to go. Mr. Hycroft is coming over to tell us to take our places."

Eric leaned in, gave Connor a quick kiss, and hurried off. Connor watched him leave. The clearing of a throat drew his attention away from Eric’s leaving form, and Connor turned to look at Mr. Hycroft.

"Time to be seated, Connor," Mr. Hycroft instructed.

Connor nodded once and hurried to his seat.

The ceremony flew by, thankfully. Connor could remember Eric whistling loudly as Connor had accepted his diploma, and Connor had done the same when Eric accepted his. The speeches, the cheers -- all were a blur in Connor’s mind. He did not know when, but he soon found himself back in Eric’s arms with Eric whispering in his ear, "We did it!"

The bustle after the ceremony was maddening, but they soon located their parents. Connor’s and Eric’s mothers had clearly been crying due to their eyes being red and puffy. Eric’s dad shook both of their hands, congratulating them on a job well done.

When they reached the parking lot, Connor received a soft poke in the ribs from Eric. Connor turned to face Eric, but Eric nodded towards Connor’s mom. Connor shook his head and turned to his mom.

"Hey mom, I am gonna be riding with Eric to the party, ok?"

Connor’s mom smiled. "Ok. See you two there." She waved as Connor and Eric made their way to Eric’s truck.

"Well?" Connor asked, climbing into the passenger seat.

Eric smiled as he started the truck. "Not yet."

Eric put the truck in gear and pulled out of the parking lot.

*******

The city streets were buzzing with activity as people drifted off to their respective parties. Connor watched them all from his boyfriend’s truck.

Connor turned away and looked at Eric. Connor could not get over the sight of his boyfriend. Eric’s shirt was slightly undone, revealing a small portion of a muscular chest. The shiirt’s sleeves were rolled up, showing off Eric’s strong arms. Blonde hair framed Eric’s face and brought out his blue eyes.

Eric felt Connor’s gaze and turned to look at him. Connor blushed and smiled. Eric smiled in return and reached and clasped one of Connor’s hands in his own. He turned his eyes back to the road, still feeling Connor’s gaze.

They rode in silence for a few moments before Eric turned onto a side street.

"Where are we going?" Connor asked.

"I have something to show you."

"What?"

Eric smiled. "You’ll see."

A few more turns brought them to the city park. Connor looked questionally at Eric as Eric pulled into the deserted parking lot. Eric parked the truck and motioned for Connor to follow him as he himself climbed out. Connor followed hesitantly.

"What are we doing here?" Connor asked.

"We are going to fashionably late because I spend a few moments alone with my boyfriend," Eric replied.

Connor blushed and allowed himself to be led to a bench not far from the truck. They both sat, and Connor snuggled closer to Eric. Eric smiled and wrapped a protective arm around Connor. The light from the street lamp cast a warm golden glow on the area, and Connor could not help but think of how romantic this was.

A few moments passed before Connor noticed that Eric was shaking slightly. Connor sat up. "You cold?"

Eric shook his head. "No."

"What’s wrong?"

"Nothing," Eric replied, trying to calm himself.

"This has nothing to do with what you have to ask and show me, does it?"

Eric pulled away. "Well, actually, it’s both."

"Well?"

Eric hesitated for a moment before sliding off the bench and kneeling before Connor. Connor searched Eric’s face for answers before his eyes came to rest upon Eric’s hands which rested on Connor’s knee.

Connor gasped slightly.

Eric slowly pulled Connor’s left hand towards him and slipped the gold band embedded with a small diamond on Connor’s ring fingers.

Connor stared down at Eric, his hazel eyes swimming in tears.

Eric returned the look, his blue eyes burning with desire.

"Connor, my love, will you marry me?"
