Tangled : Part Eleven

(Part 1 from 7. Fiction.)

*** Part 14 : THE NEW GUY.

Later, into the early evening, Gary took us through to his well equipped studio and played and sang some of his newly written songs for us. They would be featured on his new album.
Then Lee whispered into Gary's ear, with a sly grin at me.

"Okay, I can do that one, but on one condition - you must join me. David, this song is for you." Gary said.
I watched Lee as he picked up a guitar, strummed it and sat on a stool. The two of them sang You Don't Cry Like I Do. It was the most fantastic moment in my life.
When they'd finished, Gary said to me. "Bet you didn't think your man could sing, did you."

"I had no idea." I said as Lee joined me. "You continue to amaze me." I said to him. “And you chose the perfect song. It’s so special to me now.”
"I used to play in Gary's band when he first started out about eight or nine years ago." Lee told me.
"Now what about you, Lee? What am I to sing for you?"

Jacob jumped up and said.
"I know the perfect song for Lee." He whispered into Gary's ear.
"Perfect!" Gary quipped and went into Except the New Girl, but he changed the feminine pronouns to male.
We listened spellbound as he sang:

"Drive your old mustang down,
To where you hang out,
Alone without a friend.
Boys walk by you,
Some in fact, have tried you,
Once they've tried,
They never tried again.
Except the new guy,
Except the new guy."

Lee leaned close to me and whispered.
"You're the 'new guy', my guy!"

"Alone and lonesome,
Trusting no-one.
They say you've never had a friend.
People talk about you,
They say they doubt you,
Will really ever let anybody in.
Except the new guy,
Except the new guy."

Then he went into the instrumental bridge. He looked up at Lee and said.
"You know Lee, I never realized it, but this song is so about you."
I looked at Lee. His face was set in a look of such sadness that my heart cried for him.
I turned to him, put my arms around him and laid my head on his chest.

"I love you, you'll never be alone again. I promise." I whispered.
He wrapped his arms around me tightly and pulled me really close.
“I know.” He whispered. “I never want us to be apart, ever!”

I snuggled into his naked chest comfortably and reveled in the scent of his body.
Gary went into the next verse.

"I guess there's never been any-one.
Except the new guy,
Except the new guy.

Last time I saw him, he was laughing,
They were standing side by side."

"I've got a feeling, that they'll stay together,
From the look that was in his eyes.
There's no-one,
Except the new guy,
Except the new guy.

See him smile, he don't care,
He says he loves him,
That he'll always love him.
See him smile, it seems fair,
That he finally found him,
He'll finally hold him.
There's no-one,
Except the new guy,
Except the new guy.
Except the new guy."

Gary finished the song.
There was silence for a moment, then Lee released me and we went over to Gary. Lee put his arm around him and pulled the three of us into a close embrace.
"Thank you." Lee whispered to Gary.
"I can tell that what you guys have is very, very special, so you take care of each-other, you hear?" Gary said.
Lee nodded and we broke apart.

“I intend to, buddy, believe me, I intend to.” Lee said seriously.
As all good things do, the day finally came to an end and it was time for us to leave.
"Why not stay for dinner?" Jacob queried.

"Thanks!" Lee said. "But we really ought to go. I have a bit of serious business to attend to!" Then he bent and whispered into Jacob's ear.
"What?" Jacob exclaimed. "Not yet, eh? What are you waiting for then, get the hell out of here!"
Jacob winked at me and grinned broadly and I felt myself flush. Lee saw it and laughed.

We chatted as we walked out to the car. Gary stopped, told us he'd be right back and disappeared into the house. He came out several minutes later and handed me a paper bag.
"I want you to have these." He told me quietly while Lee spoke to Jacob. "And promise me that you'll take good care of that man, okay? He's had a tough time, and I'd hate to see him hurt again. He has a lot of love to give and he needs someone like you to give it to."
"I'll take good care of him Gary, I promise. He is my life." I replied.
"Good!" He said.

I thanked him for the wonderful day and the gift, and started to open it, but Gary stopped me.
"Keep it for later friend, okay? Don't you stay away too long now, you hear?"
I closed the bag and thanked him again.
On the drive home, I cuddled up to Lee, kissed him on the neck and thanked him for a wonderful day.
"Davey?" He started.

I loved the way he used the diminutive form of my name.
"Davey, promise me something."
"Okay. Anything." I replied.
"Gary and Jacob lead very hectic, stressful lives. That house is their secret retreat. No press, no paparazzi." He said.
"Yes. Go on." I replied.

"The point is that it is a secret, and very few people know about it. They would like to keep it that way. You do understand."
"Yes of course I understand. I gathered as much earlier. I promise, their secret is safe with me."
"Thank-you!" He replied. "Now, I am going to take you to your place so you can pick up a few things. You'll be staying at my place tonight." He threw me a meaningful glance.
"Okay." I said carefully.
"There's no way I'm sleeping on that couch of yours again, you understand." And he laughed.
"Yes," I said sweetly. "I understand."

"A big cozy bed is so much more comfortable, don't you think?"
"Yes, I suppose it is." I said, my voice absolutely dead pan.
"You do realize, of course, that I only have one bed; a very large, comfortable bed!" He said.
"I realize that." I replied sweetly. "Of course, it's going to take a bit of coaxing on your part to get me into it. Maybe another song?"
"Nope, no more songs. I should have thought that my charm and good looks would be incentive enough." He said with a grin.

"Don't be cute." I said. "Just what kind of a guy do you think I am?"
"That's easy! You're the guy that has tortured and haunted me from the moment I saw you. You're the guy that I love and want more than anything in this world right now. The guy that I thought I could never be with and never hold. You're the 'new guy' and now you're my guy."

He took my hand, kissed it and held it in his lap. The heat of his groin seeped up into the back of my hand. I pressed down onto his bulge slightly and felt his pelvis push up gently in response. He smiled at me with a knowing look in his green eyes. It was so erotic. I felt my cock stir in my pants in anticipation.
