Will pulled at Jacob’s hair as the two wrestled playfully in bed. It was 10 am on a Saturday morning and neither of them could manage to get up. Will rested his hands on Jacob’s rock hard chest as he searched Jacob’s eyes. No one in the world was more beautiful to him. It was the first time the two had shared a bed together since the incident at Jacob’s. Jacob’s father believed that Jacob was just out with some of his teammates for the night. Will’s parents were away.

“You know, we have to get up.” Will said.

Jacob grabbed Will laughing and rolled Will underneath him. He picked up a large pillow and threw it to the side leaning in to kiss Will.

“You know when you can tell you’re truly nuts for someone…like completely head over heals?” Jacob asked, his forehead resting against Will’s.

“When?” Will smiled.

“When the idea of having to leave their side in the morning is enough to make you cry.” Jacob kissed Will deeply. The two continued to kiss. Will wrapped his arms around Jacob’s sturdy back. Jacob looked so cute in the morning, his wavy hair was lightly tossed and he had a light brown scruff that grew in, highlighting his gorgeous cheekbones. Finally, Will pushed Jacob back up and lightly patted Jacob’s toned stomach.

“C’mon, get up!” Will laughed. “My parents are back in an hour and I want them to meet you…without them thinking that we just slept together.”

“Right…that would be good.” Jacob sighed. He slowly rolled off and left Will’s side. Will’s parents had been in Canada for a week visiting old friends. Will followed Jacob into the bathroom and the two showered quickly, trying everything they could not to bend over and fuck each other senseless. It wasn’t long after the two had gotten dressed when Will heard his father’s car pull into the driveway.

“Wait, what are we gonna tell them?” Jacob asked, suddenly very nervous.

“That you’re just over for the day hanging out.” Will laughed. “I just want them to meet you. I think they’re really gonna like you.” Will put his arm around Jacob’s back and pushed him out the door. The two made their way downstairs to the kitchen.

“Mom? Dad?” Will yelled, he went around the corner into the kitchen and found his mom busily unpacking the groceries.

“Hey Will.” Will’s mom smiled. She was tall, blonde, and had the look of a very free spirited woman. For a woman living in suburbia, she hardly fit the role. Her style and clothes looked like they were something out of New York City.

“Dude your mom is hot.” Jacob whispered to Will quickly, giggling.

Will smiled and shoved Jacob in the chest. “Mom this is Jacob.” Will beamed. He put his arm around Jacob at the waist and pulled Jacob into him. Jacob jumped, not knowing how to respond.

“Hi Jacob!” Will’s mother said brightly. “Oh my god, he’s so handsome Will.” Will’s mother stated calmly as she popped a baby carrot into her mouth. She made her way over the two of them and grabbed Jacob’s hand. “It’s so nice to meet you Jacob, I think I’ve read about you a few times in the local newspaper…football right?” Will’s mother asked sincerely.

Jacob was completely dumbfounded. He stood uncomfortably, waiting for someone to laugh and tell him it was a joke. He scrambled for words and a smile but all he could find was “Yes.”

“I thought so!” Will’s mother smiled. She walked back to the kitchen counter and continued to unpack the groceries.

“I missed something.” Jacob said quietly to Will, not moving. Will just smiled and put his hands on Jacob’s shoulder’s leading him over to the kitchen table. As the two began to sit down, Will’s father walked through the door. Will’s dad was fit for his age. He was wearing and untucked flannel and Dockers. He had salt and pepper hair and a sincere smile.

“Hey bud.” Will’s dad said as he came through the door with two more bags of groceries.

“Hey dad.” Will nodded raising his hand. He rested his hand back down onto Jacob’s. Jacob looked up completely horrified.

“Honey, this is Jacob.” Will’s mother started.

Will’s dad looked over at the two boys, unflinchingly and smiled broadly. “Oh hey!” He said placing the bags on the kitchen counter. Jacob stared blankly. “It’s so good to meet you. Will’s told me so much about you.” He beamed, reaching out a hand to Jacob. Jacob took his hand meekly and shook it. He smiled lightly, feeling as if he was in the twilight zone.

Will’s dad was suddenly distracted by the bruise below Will’s eye. “Will…what happened?” Will’s father asked urgently. He gestured to the injury that David had given Will on Friday in the parking lot.

“Oh…” Will paused. He looked over at Jacob. “It’s really nothing.” Will smiled calmy.

“It doesn’t look like nothing.” Will’s father pressed.

“No really, it’s not a big deal at all. Just emotional teen drama bullshit” Will laughed. “Really, you should see the other guy.” He smiled. He looked at Jacob again and lightly squeezed Jacob’s hand. “Thanks to Jake.”

Jacob cracked a side smile uncomfortably. He didn’t understand why no one seemed to care that Will’s hand was resting on his. Did they all think it was completely normal? Did they not notice?

Will’s father looked at Jacob graciously. “Good to know you’re looking out for Will.” He said.

Jacob nodded. He looked back at Will utterly confused. He needed to take a breather.

“Can I use the restroom?” Jacob asked politely.

“Oh ya, totally. It’s down the hall to the left.” Will’s mom told him.

Jacob pushed himself up from the chair as the three of them continued to smile. He nodded awkwardly to the parents and walked quickly out of the kitchen. Will started to laugh.

“What did you do?” Will’s mom asked giggling. “He looks horrified!”

“He didn’t know I was open to you two.” Will said.

“Will!” Will’s father shot him a look.

“No, dad…I had too. If I had told him that you guys knew he was my boyfriend he would have been too nervous to meet you two.”

“Well good luck with that one later.” Will’s mom laughed. “He didn’t look too happy.” She opened up the freezer door and pulled out a package of pees. “Will, put this on your eye.” She tossed him the bag.

“I think he was just shocked…He’s not used to this.” Will shrugged.

“He’s gorgeous Will.” Will’s mom said simply.

“He’s a nice kid?” Will’s dad asked.

“Yeah dad.” Will placed the pees under his eye and cringed from the cold. “I mean, I was getting my ass kicked from this guy at school…long story…Jacob came out of no where and the kid was on the ground in a second.”
“Haha fucking superhero or something.” Will’s dad laughed. “You seem taken by him.” He dropped his car keys into a bowl on the counter and continued to unpack the groceries.

“Yeah well…” Will started, looking down the hallway. “He’s a good guy.”

“Wow…introducing him to the parents…that’s a big step.” Kate told Will. They were sitting on her bed. It was Sunday afternoon.

“Yeah I know…we went to get lunch after that and he barely spoke me.” Will laughed. “Finally, I convinced him it was okay. He calmed down a bit. He wasn’t really happy about it though.” Will smiled.

“That’s lame. You’re parents are so cool. He should be able to get over it.” Kate said falling back onto her pillow.

“He’s just scared Kate. He doesn’t want anything to get back to his dad.”

“Oh my god…you’re parents are hardly ever going to speak to Ray O’hare.” Kate scoffed.

“I know right?” Will smiled. “I’ve assured him though…my parents know what’s at stake and that they cannot say a word.”

“Did he get over it?” Kate asked.

“ It took him a couple hours.” Will leaned in. “Aw, Kate you should have seen it. We had dinner that night and he was smiling and joking. My parent’s loved him. My dad thinks he’s the coolest kid and my mom is totally in love with him. He was even putting his arm around my chair by the end of dinner.”

“God damnit! I am the only one who has yet to see you two be affectionate around each other.” Kate threw a pillow at Will’s face. “What’s up with that?”
