I Love Corey, Chapter Fourteen

(Part 1 from 2. Fiction.)

Chapter Fourteen

After we had both caught our breath, I suggested a shower and breakfast. As we got out of bed to head for the shower, Corey eyed his crutches.

“I think I’ll try to walk without those things” he said.

“Your ass if you fall” I replied.

He giggled and then blushed.

“I won’t fall. I’ll just grab onto you.”

“Watch where you grab you little pervert” I grinned back at him.

“Maybe I need something to steady me. Think I’ll grab on now” he said and reached out grasping me by the cock. “Yah, this ought to do fine” he giggled.

He started limping towards the bathroom with me in tow. After all, it was pretty obvious I would fallow along behind my cock. He kept giggling the whole time he led me. He was walking pretty well, much better than I had expected. I was glad his knee was starting to feel better.

By the time we got into the bathroom, his hand was a couple of inches higher than when we had started. I wonder why? The shower was a lot of fun. We just couldn’t stop giggling. We couldn’t stop anything else either. It was so nice to have each other and to just have fun. My God, we were acting like a couple of sex starved maniacs. Not two people who had all ready made love twice this morning. Well, we didn’t make love in the shower, just played grab ass and giggled a lot. Some where along the line we even managed to take a shower. I don’t know how good a shower but I can assure you we managed to get all the high points.

After we dried and dressed I headed for the kitchen to start breakfast and Corey started the laundry. By the time he got the washer started, I had some orange juice squeezed and was starting on the ham and eggs. I had the grill heating for French toast. It just seemed like a French toast morning.

When we finished breakfast I told him to continue with the laundry while I got some things for dinner from the market. Downie’s had some good looking steaks and Idaho bakers so I decided on steak, twice baked potatoes, and brussel sprouts along with a green salad. When I got back he was busy with the laundry and had even managed to get the kitchen cleaned up. That called for a big kiss. And then another.

We had just managed to take our hands off of each other when Fred and Mike came bounding in. Dang, I had totally forgotten I had promised to help them with their dad’s birthday present. As we discussed what they should get Vern, I nuked the potatoes and started the marinade for the steaks. I also diced the green onions and pimento for the potatoes. The boys weren’t much help with their dad’s present but I finally remembered him mentioning he would like a table saw. I knew Vern really liked to fiddle with woodworking in his free time. Off to the internet we went looking for table saws. I had never realized they were so expensive. I mean there were cheap ones but somehow I figured if he had wanted a cheap one he would have gotten it by now. As I racked my brain trying to figure out what to recommend I suddenly remembered that there had been someone trying to sell his woodworking tools at the arts and craft fair yesterday. I couldn’t remember what all he had for sale and what the prices were but maybe it would be a place to start.

I called Nancy and chatted with her a bit about what she was getting Vern. So far she hadn’t come up with anything either. After a bunch of talk I finally came up with a ball park figure that the three of them would be willing to spend. I somehow doubted it would be enough but thought we might as well take a look.

The boys all jumped in the pickup and away we went. When we got there it didn’t take long to find the tools and also to find out the price. Wow. The amount to spend and the price didn’t even come close. Add to that the fact that he really wanted to sell them as a group. My little bit of research on the net convinced me it was a good, no make that an excellent buy but we were talking way more than what was available in the line of money.

The gentleman wanted $5000 dollars for an almost new Rockwell Unisaw along with a thickness planer, a jointer, a sixteen inch band saw, a shaper, and a whole bunch of things that I had no idea what they even were. Add to that a bunch of hand tools like planes, saws, chisels etc. and I knew the price was a real bargain. I asked why he was letting them go so cheaply and he told me they were his father-in-laws and that he had passed away so he had to dispose of them quickly as he had no way to move or store them. Then he told me there was also a drill press and a bunch of skill type saws and some things he didn’t know what they were or what to call them. He showed me pictures of all the stuff and I could see it was a whole shop full of tools. I finally told him much as I would like to buy them I couldn’t as it was way over budget and it wasn’t even my money. He offered them for $3500 if I could get them out today as he had been transferred back east and was right in the middle of moving when his father-in-law had passed away. I knew I was in trouble but I couldn’t resist. I wrote him a check, got on the cell phone and called a couple of friends with pickups. It was just after eleven and Bob and Carl were supposed to be over for dinner at six so we had to hurry.

Fred and Mike were all upset about the amount of money but I told them not to worry, I would get things straightened out somehow.

I rented the biggest trailer I could find at the rental center and them another one for David’s pickup. That made two trailers and three pickups. We started loading. When we got to Vern’s with the first trip I told Fred and Mike it didn’t look like we would be able to surprise their dad so just go with the flow and not worry.

Vern was more than a little surprised when we started showing up with all the stuff. He wanted to know what was going on. I told him I didn’t have time to explain but to give us a hand as his birthday present was in this mess somewhere. We got everything unloaded and headed back for another trip. Vern brought his pickup this time.

Fred and Mike were good help but Corey wasn’t able to do much as his knee still wasn’t healed enough. Another load and we still had lots to go.

I finally had to call Bob and tell him dinner would be a little late. The next thing I knew, he and Carl were over at Vern’s helping us.

We finally finished at about seven and Vern’s shop was a mess. I told him I would be over tomorrow night and we would sort the whole thing out. By this time there was a bunch of other people helping as well. Frank Davies, the shop teacher and several friends of his and a couple of Vern’s neighbors and I don’t know who all. I lost track of them all.

It’s a good thing Vern had a big shop. He and Nancy had bought an old farm house and fixed it up. The place came with a barn and a shop along with five acres, most of which was covered with an old orchard. The shop was forty by sixty and now it was stuffed. He’d even had to take his boat and trailer out. I knew things would look better when properly put away and organized, but for now it was so full you couldn’t find room to walk across the floor. Granted, not all the room was occupied with the stuff we had hauled in today, but a large amount was.

I told Vern and Nancy (who was glaring daggers at me) that we would get things straightened out in a few days and gathering up Bob and Carl headed home.

I was kind of fizzled out but Corey was going strong. He was chattering a mile a minute as he tried to ask all the questions he had thought of during the day. When I thought of how hard it had been to pry a word out of him when I first met him, I couldn’t believe the difference between now and then. He was still somewhat reserved around people most of the time but when he was excited he bubbled over just like any other kid. He’d also lost that kind of jumpy, oh I’m sorry I’m here attitude that he’d had. Now he seemed to accept the fact that he had a right to exist and occupy space on this planet. As I continued to fix our dinner all I could think was how lonely he must have been when I first met him.

Bob and Corey disappeared to Corey’s bedroom to get some more paper and Bob wanted to show him something about using the computer to help with the lessons he would be giving him. That left Carl and I in the kitchen with me cooking and Carl drinking coffee.

“Neat kid, I can see why you love him.”

To say I froze in shock and terror would be a classic understatement. I didn’t have any idea how to respond and my face felt like a forest fire was burning across it.

“I didn’t mean to embarrass you.” His voice was soft and almost had a longing quality to it. “I remember how it was when I fell in love. The world was so great and I just couldn’t seem to experience enough of it.” He paused and I turned and looked at him. He had a soft smile on his face. He continued, “You don’t have to worry about Bob and me, we were lovers all through school. When we went away to college we went to different schools and we both found someone else. He’s bi and I’m gay.”

“How did you know?”

He laughingly replied “Gaydar.”

That word infuriates me. I must be the only one in the whole world with gay tendencies who does not have a functioning Gaydar. You have to beat me over the head or come out and tell me before I have any idea of your sexuality. I don’t know, maybe it is because I rarely worry about sexuality that it doesn’t work. I’ve become fairly comfortable with mine and am more interested in people as people rather than sex objects. Maybe it works somewhat but on a subconscious level though because I don’t remember making a mistake when hitting on someone since about the time I entered college. I think it would be handy to have a fully functioning one.

“Oh.”

“Yah, we talked about you after you left last night. He said you made a cute couple.”

There didn’t seem to be much sense in denying it so I told him about Corey and how our relationship started (well not all of it) and how I hoped to make his life a little better. Somehow it was very easy to talk to Carl and tell him and in doing so it seemed to relieve a sense of fear that had been in me ever since I first sucked Corey that day in the locker room. Dinner was about ready to eat by the time I was done.

“I’ll go get them and when Corey goes to bed we can talk some more.” With that he headed for Corey’s room and soon had the two o them washing up for dinner.
