Canyon Lake Blues: Chapter 3

(Part 1 from 1. Fiction.)

As Kelly walked home, he was alone with his thoughts. He was more than a little shaken by his confrontation with Wyatt, but at the same time, he couldn't help but wonder what it was that Wyatt wanted to talk to him about. Even though he had gotten rough with him, Kelly was beginning to doubt that Wyatt was organizing a beating for him. He had sounded more embarrassed than conniving...like it was something that he didn't want anyone to know...

Kelly barely heard the vehicle pull alongside the curb and keep pace with him. At first, he was too lost in his own mind; suddenly curious, though, he looked up and straight into the eyes of the driver - Wyatt Kaplan!
"Get in, Fiore! Let me take you home!"
"No!" shouted Kelly, who had hurried his pace.

Wyatt sighed heavily. "Look, man, I'm sorry, ok? I didn't mean to get so upset with you back there."
Kelly stopped dead in his tracks and stared wearily at the other boy. "You actually know what those words mean, 'I'm sorry'? Just leave me alone, please? I'm begging you, just please go away!"
"Just hear me out, Fi- I mean, Kelly! Just listen to what I have to say and I'll leave you alone, I promise!"

"How can I believe you?! I don't trust you, I don't know you, and I don't like you! GO AWAY!" Kelly took off running again, but to no avail; Wyatt kept up in his truck, waiting for the sprinting boy to wear himself out. Kelly began to feel his side tighten up and an excruciating pain shot through his body. Great! he thought. I cramped up like a pussy on prom night! He stopped suddenly, almost doubling over from the pain.

"Get enough exercise?" called Wyatt from the driver's seat. "If you refuse a ride from me now, you're just plain stupid." Kelly began to feel himself fold. Panting, he asked, "You promise…to leave...me...alone...if I listen...to you...?" Sweat dripping from his brow, he looked up at the football player.
"Yes. I promise. Now, get your dumb ass in here." He leaned over into the passenger seat and opened the door for Kelly. Probably something he's used to, he thought mockingly.
Kelly slowly climbed into the cab and Wyatt pulled away from the curb. An awkward silence followed. Kelly broke it first.
"Well?"
"Well what?"

Kelly eyed Wyatt suspiciously. "You wanted to talk...so? Talk!"
"Don't get pushy, Pansy. We'll talk when we get to your place."
"What?! There's no way in hell I'm letting you in my house!"
"Why not?"
"Because there's no one there! My mom would kill me if she knew that I'd had someone over!" Kelly hadn't meant to say so much and wished he could take the those words back as soon as he saw the devilish smile that came over Wyatt's face.
"So...you're all alone today?"

The question hung in the air like a storm could ready to spill its contents on all those underneath it. Kelly didn't want to answer, but saw no way to avoid it. Wyatt had him.
"Yes," he finally confessed weakly.
The grin on Wyatt's face widened. "Oh yeah? For how long?"

Again, there was a pause as Kelly regretted his words. "My parents are out of town."
Wyatt's face was consumed with his mischievous grin. This was great news! He could fuck Kelly all night long without worry of anyone barging in and ruining the fun!
"They'll be gone all weekend?"
"Yeah,” Kelly relented weakly.

Wyatt pulled into Kelly's driveway, got out, and when he saw that Kelly wasn’t moving, he went over to the passenger’s side to open too damn scared to budge even an inch! He looked at Wyatt blankly.
"Get out, Kelly. We're here."
"How - how- how did you know where I lived?" Kelly stammered as he climbed out of the truck and started towards his house.

Wyatt didn't answer and Kelly decided not to push him. Instead, he unlocked the door and let them both inside.
"I'd say make yourself comfortable, but I want you out of here, pronto." Kelly tossed his stuff onto the floor and flopped into a nearby recliner. "Get on with it."

Again, Wyatt remained quiet. He made himself comfortable on the couch and asked, "Got any beer?"
Kelly snorted. "Beer? Sure! My parents always make sure to leave me with a stash before they go away!"
"No need to be a prick. Go get us something cold to drink."
"What in the hell do I look like to you? A maid?" Kelly questioned, exasperated. Wyatt said nothing and simply smiled at his unlikely host.

Kelly sighed, stood up, and headed for the kitchen. "Fine. Whatever gets you out of here faster, fine,"
He came back with two glasses of iced tea and sat down directly across from Wyatt.
Still, Wyatt remained mum, sipping his iced tea, breaking his silence only once to mutter, "This is good shit."

After about five minutes, Kelly felt as though he would burst and was about to kick him out when Wyatt said, "Come sit over here," and patted the cushion next to him. Kelly obliged, hoping that Wyatt would speed things up. Thankfully, he did.
"Ok, here's the deal, Kelly. I'm bored."
"So? What are you telling me for?"

Wyatt looked directly into Kelly's eyes. "I need your help in breaking the cycle."
"First of all, what's boring you...that is, assuming that I care, and, secondly, what do I need to do...that is, assuming that I might help you?"
"I'm sick of the same old shit, Kel. I want to try something new, exciting, and I think you're just the one to help me." He paused, searching for the right words. "I know what you do with guys and I want you to do it with me."

Kelly was floored! He couldn't believe what he was hearing! Wyatt Kaplan wanted to sleep with him? This just couldn't be!
Wyatt saw the stunned expression on Kelly's face and plowed on. "I'm willing to compensate you for your time, of course. Name your price."

Kelly went from stunned to enraged in a split second. Not only was Wyatt asking him for sex, but now he was offering to pay him for it, too? What a bastard! Wyatt never saw the hand coming towards his face, only knew that it was there when he felt the sharp sting across his cheek. Kelly had slapped him! His first instinct was to toss the bitch to the ground and rough him up good, but he fought back that urge. Instead, he remained relatively calm, only his eyes revealing the real anger that lay beneath.

"WHAT IN THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?! I am not a piece of property that can be bought and sold! Get the hell out of my house, now!"
Wyatt calmly remained on the couch and looked up at Kelly's furious visage. Kelly may be fast, but he was even faster. In one sudden movement, Wyatt was on his feet, his arms wrapped around Kelly's slim body, their mouths crashing together. He had taken Kelly completely by surprise!

Kelly's lips burned. He struggled in Wyatt's arms, but it was no use. Wyatt was so much stronger than him. Slowly, the pain ebbed away and Kelly struggled less, and less, and less, until he stopped struggling altogether. The kiss became sensual as Wyatt's tongue parted Kelly's lips and made it's way into his mouth. Soon, Kelly began to feel his body melt into Wyatt's and he returned the favor by slipping his own tongue into Wyatt's mouth. His mind and heart were screaming "NO", but his body was begging for it. Kelly didn't want to give in to Wyatt, but now, he knew he couldn’t say no - he wanted this too much!
