(Part 1 from 1. Fiction.)

Welcome to my new series of stories "Lovers at last" This part 1 of the story and is designed to set the tone and atmosphere. Enjoy!

It was a cold, dark, and soundless evening in the heart of a small town in England called Court. David was sat on his bed wondering what tomorrow would bring. He was happy that he had found love but at the same time a little nervous as he didn’t really know what to do next. It was the first time David had ever felt like this about another human being. He never knew that he could be so head over heels in love. He couldn’t wait for tomorrow to come around so he could be with his lover again.

David was a handsome young man. He had short sandy blonde hair, vibrant deep blue eyes which beamed out with a cool glow and a simply gorgeous body. It wasn’t over worked or too muscled but it was nicely toned and he was visibly fit. He was tall too, standing at around 6 ft 3”.

Sat upright on his bed, David began to drift into dreams about his new love. He was so overjoyed that something had finally happened between them. He had been totally in love with now Jack for nearly three years. The problem was, he had never felt like this before, so he didn’t really have much of an idea what the feeling meant. “Surely it couldn’t be love”, he used to tell himself, “he’s my friend, he’s... well he’s a he”.
It took him nearly 3 months to figure out what his heart was telling him and even then, even when he had finally figured it out, he was too shy and to frightened to do anything about it. He recalled the moment when he first laid eyes on Jack.

“Ok then class, settle down” said Mrs Hallop as she desperately tried to settle down her hectic business class after a busy lunch break one Friday afternoon in May, “Today we’re studying Ansoff’s matrix so you’ll need to concentrate”.

David hated doing business last thing on a Friday afternoon. Not that he didn’t enjoy the subject, he found the world of business fascinating and was often seen as a little too interested by his class mates as he seemed to know the answer to just about any question Mrs Hallop had to throw at him. It was just that all he wanted to do on a Friday afternoon was relax, and that would be difficult for anyone to do in one of Mrs Hallop’s lessons.

“Oh I almost forgot we have a new student joining us today” said the stern, pointy faced teacher, “everyone please welcome Jack Harper”.
It was then that David looked up. He knew that the only spare seat in the packed out business class was the one next to his. He felt his heart begin to race as his nervousness built. A million and one thoughts suddenly began to swirl around his mind. “oh my god what if its a really nasty kid who i don’t get on with, I’m gonna have to put up with him for the rest of the year”. “What if he’s really annoying and can’t help but talk endlessly”...

Jack slowly and nervously leaned into the class room.

“Jack I’d like you to meet David here, he’s going to be your class mate for the rest of the year” commented Mrs Hallop in a patronising school teacher voice.

David looked up to see what kind of person his new class mate would be. As he looked up he felt feelings of pure relief. Jack was a nice looking young man. He was very handsome and had a similar build to David, or at least that was how it looked from where David was sitting. He had big, beautiful brown eyes which were immediately noticed by David who was becoming more and more intrigued by the young man who stood before him. Jack had short brown hair and a short stubbly beard which highlighted his facial features.

“H-hello” Jack said nervously as he stared at his feet, then briefly looked up at David, then back at his feet again.

“Hey, have a seat, I’m David” David responded in the most calming tone he could manage.

“Jack” he replied as he put his back pack on the floor next to the desk.

“Nice to meet you” David said politely to Jack as he flashed a friendly smile at his new class mate.

“You too”.

The conversation was brief but it was enough for the two boys to establish that they were going to get along fine with one another over the coming months. They both thought that the other seemed nice enough and looked forward to getting to know each other a little better.

Suddenly David was awoken by the sound of his mobile phone buzzing on his bed next to his right knee. He quickly regained his thoughts and picked up the phone.

1 new message. Jack.
Hi baby it’s me, just wanted to tell you how much I love you and that I’m really glad that we had our little conversation earlier. :) love you, sleep well, can’t wait to see ya 2moro. X x.

David smiled to himself. He replied Jack’s message repeating the message and reclined downwards into his mattress, put his head on the soft, fluffy pillow and closed his eyes. He was overwhelmed with a sense of love for his new found lover. He began to drift into deep thought once again, this time wondering what the future would bring. He thought about what the next step was in the relationship and about all of the possible activities they would get up to in the
future...

Hey guys, just to let you know, this is the first part in my new series called lovers at last, any comments you leave are greatly appreciated and I will be glad to hear from you.

Unfortunately I had to erase my last stories due to issues with those who were written about, I don’t want to upset anybody and thought it was best to start over. There are no issues anymore but just thought I’d let you know :) Thanks for reading!
